Overview

The glider, as their name implies, is a tool that lets the user glide down from any sort of higher ground at slow or decently high speeds depending on the angle of the fall. The recipe for it can be bought in the shop with Gems. It has a number of uses, mostly quality of life, in other strategies such as farming the Volcadon or faster retreat from chases.

Strategy

Using the glider is not hard, but there are a few tips that can squeeze some more mileage out of every use. Knowing when and where to use it is also important, as there are situations that benefit greatly from a glider cutting down time:

  • Gliders are often used by experienced players to go down into the volcano instead of having to perform the little obby to get down. This is efficient due to both being faster than the obby and also because you are able to get to the Volcadon's perch spot before him, allowing you to get more damage in as he stays immobile for a few seconds.
  • When jumping from anywhere (but especially in the volcano), keep in mind that there is a 5 second cooldown on equip before the glider is able to glide. Triggering the flight key before this cooldown ends will result in you falling down, which will end up in your death if there is lava below. Not forgetting about this is very important when going down into the volcano for obvious reasons.
  • Depending on how low the Volcadon flies outside the volcano, you may be able to use the glider to get on top of him (from the volcano) and damage him for free with a sword until he reaches the volcano entrance, where you'll be forced to drop off as he goes in.
  • When in a fight you can't win, the glider is a nice retreat option. If your enemy does not have a glider themselves, they will not be able to catch up to you as long as you have high grounds to jump off of. All you need to do is retreat to a higher place, then glide away.
  • The glider can also be used for quick bombarding runs with grenades. Get to a higher ground, glide over the settlement or other structure you wish to destroy, then chuck the grenades all over. This is more effective against wooden structures, as stone buildings will not be affected as much by the grenade explosions.
  • If in an island with good high ground and someone is trying to run away from you with a boat, a glider can be used to reach their boat if you are confident you can make the distance. Double caution if the player you are chasing is affected more than usual by lag, as this is very likely to end up in you getting thrown off or clipping through their vessel.
  • Gliding on top of enemies while they are not looking is a great way to surprise them and get some damage in. Extra points if the person you are chasing has armor, yet chooses to keep it unequipped while not in combat - while they scramble to either run away from you or equip their gear, you'll be well on the way to killing them. Find a higher ground or any other easy to hide spot, wait for them to walk into your trap, and eat them alive.
  • Applying certain techniques with the glider can make it go faster than intended. This usually involves Roblox native gear functionality screwing up the way the glider calculates movement, boosting it to unnatural speeds. Keep in mind that this makes the glider unpredictable and hard to control.
