Overview

Lumbermills are one of the essential structures you need to start building a village. Placing logs inside it and converting them into planks yields more segments due to how the ratio works (more details here), thus it is wise to use them to save time if you plan on creating a large settlement. Its rotors can also be used in more custom buildings that require spinning parts.

Uses

As mentioned in the overview, its intended function is to work as a time-saver for players who want to mass produce buildings while gathering less resources. There are, however, some things to note:


  • When placing logs, be careful not to place two of them at the same time. Depending on your latency, this may end up in you only getting the planks for one due to the lumbermill not registering both logs properly.
  • Placing way too many logs without picking up the planks may result in them suddenly exploding out of the lumbermill, sending all of your planks flying. To avoid this, it's recommended that you place the lumbermill on top of a ladder or two, so as to look like this:
